otel-zig's release replaces the branch commit. its OTLP protobuf bytes are byte-identical to the 0.16 line (golden tests in otel-zig). a live record containing a float is archived and skipped at encode, as upstream does: its live consumer stores the raw block without decoding (internal/ingest/live/events.go) and the subscribe encoder rejects it (internal/subscribe/handler.go). on zat 0.4 the same op was dropped before archiving as missing_block, because the float failed to decode.
