Activate #
activate is a ci/cd runner that will be designed to integrate with many git forges, and an open api to work with any that support webhooks. this is currently a very early version, just designed to test the runners and such
Setting it up #
if you want to run your own instance, its as easy as cloning the repo by running
git clone https://tangled.org/did:plc:wehuotgkiltrsfajaon2w2yw, and then running docker compose -f example-compose.yaml up
to start a dev instance!
Using it #
to make a ci workflow, create a folder called config, then make a file with the same structure as example-config.json.
each file in the config folder is a different workflow. i would recommend leaving the first two arguments, they set up
a quick and small container to run ci in. arguments 3 and 4 are self-explanatory (i think?), but they control if the
system should automatically clone a repo or not.
then theres the steps list. every entry in here will run a command in the container, in the order they are in the file.
for each entry, you must set cmd, which tells the runner what command to run. you can optionally set env to a list
or dict, to control the env for that command.
to actually run a workflow, send a post request to /api/run/basic/{workflow_name}, where workflow_name is the name of
the json file you made in config (without the .json part). you can do this with the interactive api docs.
