The program reads the arguments and starts the interface. It takes the socket from the NIRI_SOCKET variable or from an argument. The program gives three modes: the interface, a list of the outputs for a script or a report of a fault, and a demonstration that uses the compositor of the tests and therefore needs no niri and no second monitor. The list writes through a function that gives an error back. The usual print macro stops the program when the reader closes the pipe, for example a pipe into a command that reads the first lines only. The program treats that condition as a normal end. The program writes a log only when the DYNAMONIX_LOG variable gives a path, because a log on the error output damages the interface.
