journal_stats.py does not reference events.jsonl anywhere -- zero occurrences. facet_data is accumulated per facet from activity records, with durations estimated over each record's segments. The claim mattered beyond its own accuracy: it named a reader of the per-segment event log that does not exist, which is exactly the kind of thing a survey picks up and carries into a rebuild's reader inventory.
