Repeated embed() renders were still rebuilding aligned text when the same dedented snippet landed at the same insertion column. That turned common SQL and code-block templates into repeated work even after the output shape was already known. The new path reuses aligned output only when the rendered shape truly matches: the dedented snippet text and the exact pad string. alignText() also does less intermediate work. Tests and benchmarks keep those boundaries honest under column churn, eviction pressure, and oversized inputs.
