The store now distinguishes an interrupted same-generation commit-file write from a real competing writer by re-reading the published record before raising writer-conflict, and the memory filesystem test double keeps the same promise-returning contract as the production filesystem. This lets a handle recover after a partial JSON write crashed midway through generation 1 without also allowing a valid generation 1 commit from another writer to be overwritten.
