A single flake exposes two outputs that share modules/home/common.nix: - darwinConfigurations.pro: nix-darwin -> home-manager + Homebrew (zap) + macOS system.defaults. Determinate owns Nix (nix.enable = false). - homeConfigurations.mostlyobvious: standalone home-manager for VMs (portable subset only; no brew, no macOS config). Delivery is raw-files-first hybrid: the nvim tree and fish functions/conf.d are out-of-store symlinks (live edit); git and a thin fish shellInit use programs.* for path portability; .gemrc/.irbrc in-store. Ruby is per-project nix devshells via direnv (no global toolchain). CLI tooling is in Nix; Homebrew carries GUI casks plus host-only rtl_433/lima/container, with cleanup=zap. Host-only: login shell, iCloud history, ssh config, macOS defaults (dock + screenshots). Design rationale lives in the README.
