Three more things a rewrite dropped, each invisible until the document was compared rather than the model: comments, the text a location carries after its tag, and - because nothing contains it - the licence and attribution notice MegaMek writes above <unit>. Text is kept exactly as written rather than decoded and re-encoded, since an entity reference arrives as its own event and rebuilding the run around it is how a &quot; became three pieces of text with the quotation mark gone. The wasm boundary now holds the force rather than shipping a summary of it: reading a .mul to JSON and writing it back was lossy end to end while the Rust round trip beside it lost nothing.
