Johnny's Mac-like Dotfiles #

A minimal config to create a exceptionally familiar feeling DE to macOS on an M1 MBP running Asahi Fedora Remix.

Declarative configuration using mise bootstrap. To set up the system, download mise and run mise bootstrap. Definitely has some rough edges but works relatively well. It's no Nix, but it's also not Nix.

TODO #

• three finger drag would be huge
• cmd+shift+v for clipboard history
• some sort of quick dictionary (like 3d touch clicking a word on macOS)
• immutable distro. I wish NixOS didn't have so many sharp edges.
• better solution for GUI apps than dnf and sudo hooks
• add cmd+c, cmd+v
• add macOS text motions (cmd+left/right, opt+left/right, opt+shift+left/right, cmd+a, etc)
• add cmd+space for spotlight
• cmd+tab, cmd+shift+tab for app switching
• add basic neovim config
• add git shorthand aliases

Side Quests #

• fix trackpad funkiness with keyd
• set up minimal zed editor
