Strae #

Strae is a native Android client for Streamplace, inspired by Xtra and various Material You Expressive apps. It plays live streams and VODs, shows Streamplace chat, and signs in with ATProto OAuth. Its UI uses Jetpack Compose Material 3 Expressive, with dynamic Material You color on supported Android versions.

The Android application ID is you.jolly.strae. OAuth client metadata lives at website/oauth-client-metadata.json and is served from https://strae.jolly.you/oauth-client-metadata.json.

Build #

Open the project in Android Studio, or build a debug APK with JDK 21:

./gradlew assembleDebug

The APK is written to app/build/outputs/apk/debug/app-debug.apk.

Strae is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. Strae began as a fork of Xtra; the inherited app sources have been removed, while the repository history preserves their attribution.
