Readme #

The atp project is a personal learning project to get to grips with both the Zig programming language and the Atprotocol. I have used AI/LLM (claude) as a form of instructor, and have found that helpful with regards to shortening the time it takes me to get on top of things and navigate documentation. That means that not one line of code is written by the AI/LLM, it has been suggesting things based on the Zig standard library and the atproto documentation. The claude instructions are included in the repo.

Project scope #

Currently the project only supports posting text based records/posts/skeets, but I will be working on supporting other types of media and embeddings.

Limitations #

The code has several known limitations and I am not being as defensive as I should be, and I have a limited set of tests. There are outstanding TOODs in the codebase, which might or might not be fixed in the near future.
File locations and file paths are not respecting Mac idioms, it is just loosely following Linux conventions. Windows is not considered at all as I do not use that unless dictated.

Usage #

Clone the repo and build the source code as you please.
