Dual-pane scrolling with a Ctrl+T focus toggle, /step slash commands with autocompletion (replacing the unreliable Alt+arrow binding), the Model Thinking palette toggle, the on-demand skills manifest, and the marine header/status/prompt wording. Note: this commit also carries pre-existing uncommitted "update UI" work that was already in the working tree and is interleaved with the changes above.
