Chat thread (felinus suggested, goose.art said yes "with like a cartoon hand? / Yeah, a cartoon hand rubbing its head"). Drops a small SVG hand above the target pet that bobs up-down a few times over 1.8s and floats away, plus a heart pulse on the same pet so the affection signal reads at a glance. Lookup follows the same handle-matching as !shrink / !grow / reload (exact, prefix, or first-segment match). Ungated (no badge required) — cross-user commands that *change* state still need a badge per the prior mod-perms rule, but petting is purely cosmetic and friendly, so anyone can do it. Sender still pays the 2.5s rate-limit so spam-pets cool down. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
