Replace the brittle bash+gawk wallpaper.sh and timers.sh with a JS pipeline of deep modules (source, pool, applier, lock) plus a thin composition-root CLI. The pool rolls over a 5-day window, parses Guardian gallery HTML for location+description, and crossfades via the awww daemon. Add a Quickshell layer-shell overlay: hero clock, photo caption, and a systemd-timer readout that expands to SYSTEM timers on hover.
