The outstanding work was split between the fan-controller README and ~40 //TODO comments scattered across src/, so neither source showed the whole picture and the comments were effectively invisible. TODO.md collects both, grouped by area with file:line references, and opens with a suggested priority order. The two items ranked P0 are verified against the code rather than taken from the comments at face value: - Client::send_3 ends in an unconditional Ok(()), so the "confirmed set point" guarantee the Watch senders rest on is not actually confirmed by anything. - mqtt_routine calls mqtt_with_connect once with no surrounding loop, so any post-connect drop takes the device offline until it is power cycled.
