NorgPaper #

A minimal, accessible and SEO-friendly Norgolith blog theme. A 1:1 port of the Astro SSG theme astro-paper. Static output, self-hosted assets only (no CDNs), and Lighthouse 100/100/100/100 on every route in light and dark mode.

Note: NorgPaper requires Norgolith >= 1.0.

Installation #

Syntax highlighting (optional, opt-in) #

NorgPaper ships a dynamic syntax theme for the norgolith-tree-sitter-highlight plugin. Colors adapt automatically: the code surface reads the active color scheme's tokens (bg/fg/comments/punctuation), while token hues keep astro-paper's Shiki look (min-light for light mode, night-owl for dark). Switching scheme or light/dark re-themes code with no extra files.

1. Install the plugin:

   lith plugin install norgolith-tree-sitter-highlight
   

2. Enable it in norgolith.toml:

   css-path is a URL the web server resolves (it points at the theme's stylesheet). The theme loads the stylesheet automatically when the highlighter is enabled.

Configuration ([extra]) #

socials, share, per_index, show_archives, show_back_button, edit_post_url, search, profile, site_description. Color schemes: color_scheme_light / color_scheme_dark — pick light (paper-light, kha-yan, nila, jadeite, pyit-tine-htaung) and dark (paper-dark, paper-dark-ii, deep-purple, ember, espresso) independently; defaults are the astro-paper default pair.

Deviations from astro-paper #

• Single-page listings (no pagination at /posts/page/N).
• No dynamic OG image generation (static default-og.jpg).
• Categories are available (Norgolith-native) but hidden from the nav.
• deep-purple scheme accent-on-background is 4.39:1 (astro-paper's own values, kept as-is).
