fetch-real-kit.mjs pulls CC0-only Freesound one-shots (rating-sorted search, per-role spectral-centroid windows, auto-pick, silence-trim + normalize to 48k mono) into samples/real/ with provenance in kit-real.json; all six registered in the pop menu sample registry. hitbaker prefers the real kit; doors/bells/xylo stay synth (lane identity). Swapping real percussion for the modal-synth kit doubled HPSS perc share (0.042 -> 0.084) and lifted the high band -21 -> -17.5 in one move: real drums are noise + transient, modal synth drums are tone.
