"it said no" and "it never answered" stop looking alike, and the notes learn what CDP actually settles master
The supported-check failed open: a lookup that threw was logged and then quoted anyway, so a 402 could mean either the facilitator confirmed the network or the call died and nobody noticed. From outside those are indistinguishable, which is the wrong property for the one signal a public endpoint gives you. They are now separate 503s — refused, versus did not answer — and neither pretends to a price. CDP is live and verified from lith, where the key's IP pin actually permits it: the Ed25519 JWT authenticates, and CDP settles base, base-sepolia, Polygon, Arbitrum, World Chain and Solana. Base mainnet is real, so the 402 the paid routes now return is one a buyer could actually pay — which was never true before today. The notes carry the parts that will be forgotten: that the key is read-only and pinned to 209.38.133.33, so rebuilding the droplet silently breaks payment; and that bulk and sources still sell what posts.json and graphs.json already give away for free, which no amount of working plumbing fixes.
