loadPaintingPreview re-fired every animation frame for any code that failed to load (bad slug, 404, CORS, network), flooding the network + console and locking up the whole chat for everyone who could see the message. Add a per-session failed-code cache (with a couple of transient retries) so a broken code is attempted then dropped instead of hammered forever. A reload clears it.
