The App Store Menu Band runs sandboxed and can't write the ~/.local/share/desktop-badge/note file MacPal polls, so Fía's star never sang along with it. Menu Band now also posts a computer.aestheticcomputer.menuband.badgeNote distributed notification (crosses the sandbox); MacPal observes it and, on the first ping, supersedes the file poll so a DMG build doing both never double-sings. MacPal 0.2.3 (build 5) shipped via OTA.
