Aesel GUI (apple/aesel): a turn that finishes, fails or waits for approval while Aesel is in the background posts a native notification; clicking it brings that thread forward. Permission is asked when the first turn starts. The app reports open/login/logout to the AC network device registry as app aesel (macOS keeps its own install id). aesel://notify, handled in an AppKit delegate so no window opens, posts notifications for the TUI. Aesel TUI: done (turns of 8 s or more), failed and approval-needed post a native macOS notification when the terminal is not frontmost (lsappinfo and the parent chain; no Automation permission). It goes through the Aesel app when that is running and accepts aesel://, else osascript. AESEL_NOTIFY=0 turns it off. The TUI reports itself to the registry as "Aesel TUI". /api/app-notify lets a signed-in person notify only their own devices (all, one app, or one owned device), 60 an hour.
