The other half of "why don't recent pieces show up on mime". `publish` writes a bucket object and no database row, so a handle-owned piece has never appeared in any feed — not an Easel bug, the web prompt shares the path. Not fixed here because it is a schema decision, not a patch: `pieces` is keyed on a generated short code with unique indexes on code and hash, while a published piece is keyed on an author-chosen slug and expects to change in place.
