Aesthetic Code was born on September 8 as its own git repository in neo's home folder, and it had no remote. Eighteen commits, 5,808 lines, forty-nine passing tests and a shipping `ac` on every one of them — all of it on a single 8 GB Wi-Fi-only laptop that this repo's own notes describe as the machine that hangs under memory pressure and whose sshd sometimes cannot spawn. There was no second copy anywhere. Grafted in at `aesthetic-code/` with `git subtree add`, so all eighteen commits are ancestors of this one rather than a flattened import. The originals touch root-level paths, so `git log -- aesthetic-code/` shows only this merge; `git log 03dcb1d14d` walks the real history.
