"i think" reads as one held gesture into the octave rather than two words with air after them. At 2 beats it is 2.34× her sung length, so it crosses the 1.8× line and THE HOLD flattens it to a sustained grid tone with vibrato. For a one-syllable word trailing off that is the intended behaviour — it is what makes "stone" and "pass" hold whole bars — unlike "patiently", where flattening destroyed a melody the syllables were carrying. If it reads as too synthetic, adding think to `nohold` keeps her contour instead.
