The island was 2,900 units round home on the park's own grid, so the sea arrived fast. An island level now has a `middle` apart from its `home`: the desert's sits 4,500 past home, its radius is 7,400, and the world's grid is sized from middle and radius (desertGrid) rather than borrowed from the park. The dunes grow the further you ride from home — the three fields swell by 60% and a long slow swell joins them past the first stretch — while the start stays flat. The ground texture seeds in cells twice the size over four times the area (the same cost as the park) and neighbours differ by only a shade, so the sand no longer reads as a checkerboard. levels/monowheel-desert.ow carries the new numbers and the format doc the new form.
