The trackpad lock hands the system pointer to the platter via CGAssociateMouseAndMouseCursorPosition(0), freezing and hiding the cursor machine-wide. A bare double-click engaged it, and every route back out assumed the deck window was still key — so a misfire could strand the whole desktop. Engaging now needs option; releasing stays on a bare double-click. Escape works through global and local monitors, the lock drops when the app deactivates, and a watchdog releases it the moment our window stops being key. JukeLiquidSurface painted a 4-10% chassis tint over fully clear glass, leaving nothing behind the track list but the desktop.
