thomaslawson: TL design refresh — one type system + section grammar master
A sitewide pass over all 49 pages of thomaslawson.com, packaged as a regular WP plugin (tl-design-refresh) layered on the Fía polish mu-plugin so deactivating it restores today's site exactly. Before: 45 distinct desktop type styles across 6 families. Gotham and Felix Titling were named in CSS but never loaded as web fonts, so each visitor got whatever was installed; Poppins, Roboto and Adobe Jenson filled the gaps page by page. Titles sat on photographs with a glow, artworks wore drop-shadow frames, captions were authored ALL CAPS, and Elementor's em-based paddings drifted text off its headings (and crushed About's decades to one word per line once type grew). After: Inter (titles, nav, captions) + Newsreader (reading text), both loaded; a five-step scale that refresh.js snaps every heading onto; one section header — image band, title, intro — on a shared left edge (verified to the pixel at 390 and 1440); flat artwork; "1987 – 1990" as one title; section eyebrows on detail pages; Bookshelf "OTHER" headers replaced by their real subsection names. Includes the before set for every page (desktop + mobile), a 12-page preview set, and the capture/sheet/compare tools. Not yet live: upload needs a wp-admin session.
