Each pad gets a signature colour derived from its name (stable — a pad is always "the amber one"), and the room's entire bezel takes it. Not just the labels: the outer ring, the corners, the feathered edge all read as that pad's colour, so you're always sitting inside the colour of where you are, and the margin shifts room to room as you wander — you learn the map by hue. In the web, each puddle carries its own colour, so the neighbors you're heading toward announce themselves as they arrive. Frames are baked per colour and cached (bumped to 20).
