cancelok: a real CRT — deep bezel, rounded fuzzy edge, finger-follow slide master
Rebuilt the feel per the brief. The set is sunk deep in the wall now (thick margins), and the screen has rounded corners and a soft feathered edge — a signed- distance field to a rounded rectangle gives both in one number, baked once into a transparent overlay and pasted each frame. (Writing the display buffer directly doesn't composite here — AC copies its own buffer after paint — but a painting() buffer's pixels do show when pasted, which is the trick.) The swipe is a feed now: it follows your finger 1:1 and locks to the axis you started on. Drag the room and the neighbor rides in from the direction you're heading, like a filmstrip; let go past the doorway and it eases through, short of it and it snaps back. Travel is opposite the drag — you're pulling the world, like a map — so dragging left walks you east. Zero stats: the timer, the room count, the minimap are all gone. The only thing on the wall is the room's name, top-left, fading after a moment. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
