Stream deployment #
The former live-only stream.waow.tech canary was decommissioned on
2026-07-22. No Stream workload or archive volume remains on the Indigo node,
and the hostname has no authoritative DNS record.
The retired canary ran zat.dev/stream build bff8139 in the Indigo k3s
cluster with a dedicated 500 GB Hetzner volume. It established useful
real-network evidence for TLS, firehose ingestion, verification, public V1/V2
WebSockets, bounded archive serving, metrics, and restart recovery. It did not
run historical bootstrap, delete compaction, or failed-repository healing, and
its archive was intentionally destroyed during teardown.
The next deployment is a timeboxed full-network experiment on separate
infrastructure. experiment/ contains the isolated
host, cost gate, automatic destruction watchdog, application bundle,
monitoring, and dashboard path. It is pinned to the exact admitted Stream
build and uses temporary hostnames; stream.waow.tech remains retired until a
full experiment earns a later promotion decision.
Source and the current semantic receipts live in
zat.dev/stream, especially:
docs/semantic-parity.md;docs/bootstrap-semantic-parity.md;docs/configuration-parity.md; anddocs/full-network-experiment-2026-07.md.
The retired canary automation and the Terraform definition that attached a volume to Indigo have been removed so they cannot be accidentally recreated.
