# Technical FAQ

This [FAQ](/wiki/faq/) attempts to answer your more technical questions about
[The Lacuna Expanse](/wiki/the-lacuna-expanse/). If you have more basic needs, try the regular
[FAQ](/wiki/faq/).

**What clients are available for the game?**

The official clients are the [web client](/wiki/web-client/) and the
[iPhone client](/wiki/iphone-client/). See our [clients and utilities](/wiki/clients-and-utilities/)
page for a complete list.

**The [web client](/wiki/web-client/) uses SSL, but I hate SSL. Can I use it without SSL?**

Sure but you do so at your own risk. Every request you make, including sending your password will be
done without any encryption at all. Just change the https:// to http:// and you don't have to use
SSL.
