Help Viewer Buttons

Buttons on the Help viewer provide the functions listed in the table below. To see the button function name, hover over the button to see the name pop up.

Button Icon Description
Previous Page Previous Icon Go back to the previous selected topic. You must have selected/viewed more than one topic before you can move between topics.
To move back in table of contents order, use the Back button on the topic page:

Next Page Next Icon Go to the next selected topic. You must have selected/viewed more than one topic before you can move between topics.
To move forward in table of contents order, use the Next button on the topic page:

Print Print Icon Print the current page.
To print more than one page, select topics on the Contents or Index tab. Click on one topic and then Shift-click to select a range. Click on one topic and then Ctrl-click to select other individual topics.
Page Setup Page Setup Icon For printing, set up page layout and select and setup a printer.

Help Viewer Tabs

Tabs in the Help viewer show the information specified in the following table.

Tab Description
Contents The combined table of contents for all help topics. Click a Contents item to see its contents, unless it is a placeholder; then click the items beneath it.
Index The combined index for all help topics. Perform a full-text search of the index using the "Find" box. Hit the space bar to Find Again. Click an Index item to see its related topic, unless it is a placeholder; then click the items beneath it.
Search Search all help topics for the text specified in the "Find" box. Hit the space bar to Find Again. Click an item to see its related topic. Full-text search results are displayed as follows:
  • The circle in the first column indicates the ranking of the matches for that topic. The more filled-in the circle is, the higher the ranking. There are five possible rankings (from highest to lowest).
  • The number in the second column indicates the number of times the query was matched in the listed topic.
  • The text specifies the name of the topic in which matches are found.
