This may result in a cycle.\n\nIn order to detect the cycle, the cycle information\nobtained from using the argument must passed to\nfurther evaluation. We do this by making the Schema\nmethod call CallContext.Expr, which, in turn, uses\nEvaluatedKeepState to accumulate cycle information\nin the OpContext.\n\nThe functions that are passed the OpContext then\nneed to use adt.Unify instead of Value.Unify to be able to\ndetect cycles.\n\nNOTE: this strongly hints that we need to change the\npublic API to also be centered around an operation\ncontext. This has come up in various situations already.\n\nThis change requires pkg/gen.go to also pass an\nOpContext for the generated stubs. We take a somewhat\nunusual approach here: rather than changing the functions\nto take an OpContext, we instead call a non-exported\nfunction with the OpContext added as the first argument\nwhenever an Exported function with a pkg.Schema\nargument is found.\n\nThe reason for this is that we currently piggyback on\ngodoc to generate documentation for the builtins.\nAdding the OpContext in this signature would be\nconfusing for the the user, as it should not be\npopulated in CUE.\n\nNote some counter error were introduced\nby the new tests.\n\nThe error messages have some additional or longer\npaths as a result of this change, which is either a\nbenign change or desirable.\n\nFixes #3649\n(fixes derivative issues, was already closed)\n\nSigned-off-by: Marcel van Lohuizen \nChange-Id: I4b5a31aeb5501ec03915d069f8b92f56311124dd\nReviewed-on: https://review.gerrithub.io/c/cue-lang/cue/+/1208702\nUnity-Result: CUE porcuepine \nTryBot-Result: CUEcueckoo \nReviewed-by: Matthew Sackman \n","tree":"5ea6918758dd61f645bd5d19eaa1fd0b8af4cae7"},"mode":"0100644","name":"pkg.go","size":2555},{"lastCommit":{"author":{"email":"tavo.annus@gmail.com","name":"Tavo Annus","when":"2025-07-24T21:39:37.000000+03:00"},"committer":{"email":"mvdan@mvdan.cc","name":"Daniel Martí","when":"2025-07-28T10:30:38.000000Z"},"hash":"518993261125e0c2274e0ccaad22ffbb55251217","message":"pkg/encoding: add test cases for disjunction errors with Validate\n\nFor #4002.\n\nSigned-off-by: Tavo Annus \nChange-Id: I510b85de615386baaeccadeddf8208bc21e099d0\nReviewed-on: https://review.gerrithub.io/c/cue-lang/cue/+/1219284\nReviewed-by: Paul Jolly \nUnity-Result: CUE porcuepine \nTryBot-Result: CUEcueckoo \n","tree":"ae58999c6026f7f15fd869cd0a435d649807db47"},"mode":"0040000","name":"testdata","size":0}],"lastCommit":{"author":{"email":"tavo.annus@gmail.com","name":"Tavo Annus","when":"2025-07-24T21:39:37.000000+03:00"},"committer":{"email":"mvdan@mvdan.cc","name":"Daniel Martí","when":"2025-07-28T10:30:38.000000Z"},"hash":"518993261125e0c2274e0ccaad22ffbb55251217","message":"pkg/encoding: add test cases for disjunction errors with Validate\n\nFor #4002.\n\nSigned-off-by: Tavo Annus \nChange-Id: I510b85de615386baaeccadeddf8208bc21e099d0\nReviewed-on: https://review.gerrithub.io/c/cue-lang/cue/+/1219284\nReviewed-by: Paul Jolly \nUnity-Result: CUE porcuepine \nTryBot-Result: CUEcueckoo \n","tree":"ae58999c6026f7f15fd869cd0a435d649807db47"}}
