The Monad Code of Conduct #

The Monad community intends to be welcoming, curious, inclusive and open to ideas. Therefore we have some simple rules and aspirations to ensure that.

  • We are committed to providing a friendly, safe and welcoming environment for all, regardless of level of experience, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, personal appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, caste, age, religion, nationality, or other similar characteristic.
  • Nobody starts as an expert and anyone interested should be welcome in the community.
  • Keep topics, links, nicknames, content and language etc. safe for work.
  • Please be kind and courteous. There’s no need to be mean or rude.
  • Respect that people have differences of opinion and that every design or implementation choice carries a trade-off and numerous costs. There is seldom a right answer.
  • Please keep unstructured critique to a minimum. If you have solid ideas you want to experiment with, make a fork and see how it works.
  • We will exclude you from interaction if you severly insult, demean or harass anyone.
  • Private harassment is also unacceptable.
  • Any spamming, trolling, flaming, baiting or other attention-stealing behavior is not welcome.
  • Adhere to the designated topic of a channel or forum. Designated off topic channels are available.
  • Disagrement is natural, try to understand each others views respectfully.

This document is inspired by the Rust code of conduct.
