supervisor #
Supervisor mode for Claude Code, ported from
pi-simple-subagents. Turn it on with
/supervise, and the main agent owns design, decisions, coordination and reporting, while
subagents do the implementation, investigation and review.
To install it, see the repository README.

While it is on, the status line shows supervisor mode, and the rules are added to the main
conversation's system prompt. Under these rules the agent:
- does only the work that needs its judgement (goals, trade-offs, splitting work, briefs, commits), plus trivial edits
- delegates multi-step work to background subagents, one task per run, running independent tasks in parallel
- writes self-contained briefs that cover background, task, scope, checks and what to report
- has a fresh agent review each non-trivial change before committing, and sends findings back to the agent that made the change
- resumes finished agents with follow-ups, fixes and re-reviews instead of starting new ones
- checks the claims in reports before acting on them, and tells you which claims it hasn't checked
Subagents, forks and teammates don't get these rules; they just do their task.
The setting belongs to the conversation, not to the session. It carries through resume, /branch,
--fork-session and compaction. A new conversation or /clear starts with it off.
Development #
Run a working copy in place of the installed plugin:
claude --plugin-dir /path/to/claude-plugins/plugins/supervisor
Check and test it, from this directory:
claude plugin validate .
claude plugin test .
Claude Code writes the editor types to .claude-plugin/types/ the first time it loads the plugin.
After that, tsc -p . type-checks it.
