From a43387e874db6ae3ecbf9c8deace51b463c38049 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Cameron Date: Fri, 10 Jul 2026 22:39:41 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] Link the plot-author skill from the plots contract Cameron shared the skill's Tangled URL and asked for it to be linked from the spec so contributors can find the submission path quickly. plots.md now links wiki/process/repository-skills.md#checked-in-skills -- the skill registry that landed earlier today -- from Depends on, the authoring bullet, and a pointer at the top of the contributor-contract section, rather than pointing at the raw file path directly, so the registry stays the one owner of which skills exist and why. Defense: amends wiki/mechanics/plots.md per meta.md's citation norm (named concepts link their owner at first mention); no behavior change. --- wiki/log/2026-07-10-plots-skill-link.md | 22 ++++++++++++++++++++++ wiki/log/DEVLOG.md | 5 +++++ wiki/mechanics/plots.md | 16 ++++++++++++++-- 3 files changed, 41 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) create mode 100644 wiki/log/2026-07-10-plots-skill-link.md diff --git a/wiki/log/2026-07-10-plots-skill-link.md b/wiki/log/2026-07-10-plots-skill-link.md new file mode 100644 index 0000000..ff01415 --- /dev/null +++ b/wiki/log/2026-07-10-plots-skill-link.md @@ -0,0 +1,22 @@ +# 2026-07-10 — Link the plot-author skill from the plots contract + +``` +Type: log +``` + +- Intent: Cameron asked for the plot-author skill to be linked from the + plots spec so people/agents can quickly learn how to submit, after + sharing the file's Tangled URL. +- Changed: [wiki/mechanics/plots.md](../mechanics/plots.md) now links + `wiki/process/repository-skills.md#checked-in-skills` — the registry + landed earlier today by a concurrent session — in three places: a new + Depends on entry, the "Authoring is a contribution surface" bullet, and + a one-line pointer at the top of "Writing a plot (the contributor + contract)" that sends a reader straight to the skill before the + contract's prose.
