teknull — album cover. the sound is carved out of noise: lowpoly jeffrey alone at a wall of equalizers in a dark warehouse, pulling music out of static. an aggressively LOWPOLY 3D render, square — a videogame character screenshot, PS1/N64-era polygon budget rendered with modern moody lighting. EVERYTHING is triangles: the man is maybe 800 polygons total. his FACE is large flat triangles — an angular wedge nose, faceted cheekbones and jaw, flat-shaded skin with NO texture, NO pores, NO smooth gradients across the face. his hair is a chunky angular polygon shell, not strands. hands are blocky mitts of a few facets. clothes are stiff faceted shells with hard creases. the gear, floor, walls, fog — all visibly triangulated, flat-shaded per facet, hard polygon edges catching the light. NO photorealism anywhere, NO smooth organic surfaces, NO subsurface skin, NO fabric weave — if any part looks like a photograph, it is WRONG. crisp throughout, no motion blur. the lowpoly man is built FROM the man in the reference photos — the polygon head still reads as him: about 30, medium-length brown tousled hair as angular clumps, his soft red plastic glasses on (chunky lowpoly frames). his clothing is the faceted lowpoly version of the ACTUAL clothing in the reference photos — same colors, same garments, do not invent new ones. never a tank top, never a costume. he stands side-on at a tall rack of audio hardware, one arm reaching out, a blocky fingertip pushing up a single slider. his eyes are nearly-closed polygon slits, head dipped in a slow nod — locked into the groove, feeling it, not performing. the rack: stacked lowpoly rack units of old analog outboard gear — graphic equalizers with rows of tiny rectangular sliders, a patch bay with a few dangling faceted cables, vented panels. the slider caps and tiny LED meters glow warm red and amber — small emissive polygons, not screens. a handful of sliders on the main EQ are pushed up into a jagged little skyline; the rest sit flat. every brand plate is a blank worn rectangle — NO readable wordmarks, NO logos, NO text anywhere. there are NO screens in the scene — no monitors, no phones, no laptops anywhere at all. light: DAYGLO — the whole scene blazes in fluorescent blacklight-party color, MUCH more light than a club photo, bright like a poster. the palette is highlighter colors: hot fluorescent PINK, ACID GREEN, electric ORANGE, ultraviolet PURPLE, highlighter YELLOW — fully saturated, glowing like they're under UV. a hot pink work lamp clamped to the rack frame blasts across his faceted face, acid-green and highlighter-orange LED polygons blaze in rows along every rack unit, UV tubes wash the brick wall violet, and strings of bulbs burn across the ceiling. a sharp acid-green rim light carves his back and hair. the lowpoly fog — flat angular fog planes — floods the floor GLOWING hot pink and orange like a lightbox. the faceted floor bounces fluorescent color back up onto everything. NO darkness anywhere — shadows are saturated purple and magenta, never black, never grey; the entire frame is lit, every facet edge burning with color. high exposure, poster-bright. mood: peak-hour dayglo rave, hypnotic, joyful — one lowpoly person and a wall of fluorescent burning machines, carving a track out of noise while the whole room glows like a highlighter.
