oskiewar has no accounts, no sign-in and no advertising. It never asks for
your name, your email or your location, and there is no profile of you to
build because the game does not know who you are.

What leaves your machine

The game itself. oskiewar downloads its own current
version from oskiewar.com so a fix reaches you without a store update.
That is an ordinary web request; it carries no identifier we assign.

A fight, while it is happening. When you play someone
else, the positions of the two fighters and the state of the round pass
through a relay server so the other player — and anyone watching that
room's address — sees the match. This is gameplay: coordinates, timers,
scores. It is not stored after the round ends.

Finished rounds. A completed round may be kept as a
compact recording — the inputs and the resulting motion — so rounds can be
replayed and watched later. A recording contains the fight and nothing
about the person who played it.

Crash reports. If the game fails, it can send the error
and the state it failed in, so the fault can be fixed. No document,
keystroke or file of yours is included.

What never leaves

There is no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no third-party
tracker, and no cross-app or cross-site tracking of any kind. oskiewar does
not read your files, your contacts, your camera, your microphone or your
location. Nothing is sold or shared with a data broker, because nothing
about you is collected in the first place.

Children

The game is safe for children to play and collects nothing from anyone
regardless of age. Because it asks for no personal information at all, there
 is none to handle differently.

Your say

Since there is no account and nothing identifying you, there is no personal
record to request or delete. If you would like a round recording removed,
 write to
 mail@aesthetic.computer and say
 which room it was in.

Changes

If what the game sends ever changes, this page changes with it and the date
above moves. Questions go to the same address.

Two fighters, one screen. Move, jump and hit until a round ends; win rounds
to win the match. There is no tutorial and nothing to unlock — the whole
game is on screen the first time you open it.

A second player on the same Mac uses the arrow keys to move, with
K to kick, L to punch, ; to shield and
' for an item. Two connected gamepads work too — one each.

Fighting a friend somewhere else

Every match has a room, and the room is a web address. Send it to a friend
and they drop into the second chair from any browser — no account, no
install, nothing to sign up for. Both machines run the whole fight and
agree with each other continuously, so play stays responsive even when the
connection between you is not perfect.

If your friend's fighter freezes or snaps, the connection dropped rather
than the game. Wait a moment — it recovers on its own — or start a fresh
room and send the new address.

If something is wrong

The window is small when it opens. That is on purpose, so
the game can sit beside your work. Drag any edge, or press ⌘F
 for full screen.

No sound. Check the volume in System Settings → Sound and
 make sure the app is not muted there. The game makes all of its own audio;
 nothing external is required.

A gamepad is not recognised. Pair it in System Settings →
Bluetooth first, then press a button on it while the game window is
 focused.

The game looks out of date. It refreshes itself from
oskiewar.com between rounds. Quit and reopen it to take an update
 immediately.

It will not start, or a round ends in an error screen.
Quit and reopen. If it happens twice in a row, email the address below and
say what you were doing — that is genuinely useful and takes one line.

A person reads it. Say what happened and what you expected instead; a
screenshot helps and is never required.
